Hey as you know Remembrance day is Thursday so Mrs.Pollock  has us doing an assignment.

                                                                                                                                          May /10 /1945

 Dear Thomas,

How is everyone doing back home?Wish mom a happy birthday for me.How are you doing in school? I miss coming home to mom's fresh baked pie. I heard that the war is almost over . I can't wait come back home. Did our neighbour Mrs.Davidson give birth yet? If she did is her baby cute? Oh and tell mom for me that we are all doing good here. Thank her for the socks she knit for us with her nimble fingers.

If you want to know how it feels to be shot ill tell ya it ain't pretty. I'm going to tell you what happened but promise not to even mention it to mom she'll get all worried. So we had to jump out of the plane without looking back and start shouting at those hideous Fritz's. I was scared a little bit at the beginning but as soon as we were in the air i remembered why I was fighting. I was fighting for you so you and everyone else could have their freedom. As i was shooting at those disgusting Fritz's quickly I got shot in the left leg and i stumbled to the floor as my parachute kicked in. a doctor quickly came to help me. He dragged me to the medical field where he treated my wounded leg. I'm  resting for now as soon as my leg gets better ill be back in action. This is all i can write for now.

sincerely your loving brother Jack

p.s. don't forget to tell mom to send me her delicious food as soon as possible.
